At 2621 meters, the Gavia pass is one of the highest paved roads in the Alps. The higher slopes are very exposed and the weather can be pretty grim. It certainly was when Shutt visited.

Our Gavia winter jacket is designed to cope with the worst the British weather can throw at you and will keep you riding throughout the colder months.

We tested the prototype through a full British winter in the Cotswolds and it lived up to all our expectations. The fabrics are breathable, water and windproof, so your body stays completely dry for a comfortable ride.

  • Waterproof / Windproof fabric on the front, shoulders and sleeves
  • Roubaix fabric on the back and side panels
  • Three open pockets
  • 4th zipped pocket
  • YKK zip
  • High viz reflective details on rear

Temperature Range: -6° to +6°C / 21° to 43°F

Gavia Jacket

Went out in drizzle, 9 degrees, with just a sleeveless base layer underneath. Stayed dry and warm, but as soon as the sun came out it got pretty toasty. Not complaining, but it is definitely a winter jacket.

absolute quality jacket

i’ve have used this jacket for the past 6 months now, in most conditions, and it’s passed all but the most wild weather.
firstly, it has a slick, tight and racy fit whilst still being comfortable and unrestrictive.
it’s wind resistance is second to none! really impressive. ive been wearing it with no base layer during march and april and it’s performing well.
it has reasonable water resistance but expect to get wet in heavy downpours. in light to moderate rain, again, performs well.
in summing up, a quality piece of kit that is hard to fault. 9/10

i’m 174cm, 32cm waist, 65 kilos with the medium fitting as intended.

Comfortable and warm

Really great Jacket. Used it several times within temperatures 0C - 10C with jersey and merino mesh baselayer - was just fine and comfortable.
Took size S for 180cm height 90cm chest - the size sitting perfect.
